Male Nudes

Wednesday, May 26th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

Today’s drawings are of a male nude model. The first drawing is from a forty-five minute sitting, while the second was a ten minute pose. I’ve got a backlog of drawings that I’m planning to post at least some of here within the next week or two. Sorry I’ve posted so few!

Value Drawings

A number of value drawings, including one from earlier today. I’d gotten a bit behind in posting here, so now I’m catching up all at once. Cheers!

Wire and Toothpick Sculptures

Both of these are a bit messy, but are the result of exploring mediums new to me. The serpent is more than five feet long, and the toothpicks are shy of a foot tall.

Cut Paper Patterns

I’m not counting these towards my drawing hours, but I wanted to show them off. Redoing a few old projects that I had sitting around in my portfolio. These are explorations of repetition, rotation and reflection.

Life in the Kitchen

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010 | Drawings, Felix, Life-Drawing | No Comments

A series of drawings over an evening, mostly documenting people as they came and went in the kitchen. Experimenting with a number of different stylistic approaches, though the actual medium is very similar throughout.
