Bus Vignette

This man was a captive subject as we waited for the bus to start its route. I believe he noticed me drawing him about ten minutes in, and became somewhat more fidgety and nervous subsequently. In keeping with this, you’ll note that his head is much more carefully rendered than his body.

This one took us quite a while, but I think we both had a lot of fun drawing it. I encourage you to click to get a look at the detail — a lot of the fun was in creating very intricate textures. I’m not accustomed to working with such a fine-tipped pen, but it does allow some liberties that a wider line doesn’t offer.
